- The 20th annual Cinco de Mayo Parade will start lining up at 10:30 a.m., and the parade starts at 11 a.m. Participants will get organized at the Alpine Civic Center. The parade will head east on Holland toward Jackson Field. Parade prizes will be awarded for the first, second and third best float entries. The parade theme is Fiesta de Culturas. - Cinco de Mayo People’s Choice Car Show at Kokernot Park. Car Show participants, which includes cars, trucks, SUVs’ and motorcycles, are encouraged to ride in the parade. The car show event will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and those interested in participating are asked to contact Mary Ann Lujan at 294-2370.
- Cindo de Mayo free dance at Centennial Park from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The band performing this year will be Romaldo y Grupo Fuerzzo of Ozona. Bring your own chair and beer and enjoy a night of dancing and great entertainment.

- Cinco de Mayo festivities is the Gran Mercado. The Gran Mercado will be a two-day event this year. On Saturday, May 5 the Mercado will be from noon till 6 p.m. and on Sunday, May 6 it will be held from noon till 7 p.m. The deadline for vendor registration is April 13; submit information to Mary Ann Lujan, 1102 W.
